Laila Gonzalez

Laila Gonzalez is a skilled software engineer and data scientist with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Shopify since January 2022, Laila previously held roles as a Senior Data Scientist and Technical Lead at VIA, where Laila led a team in developing an AI Model Market web application. With prior experience as a data scientist and AI Assistant Professor at the University of Havana, Laila has contributed to research and education in machine learning and natural language processing. Additional roles include Android Developer at VLUE, Researcher at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and Python Backend Developer at First Due.
