Lin Taylor

Lin Taylor is a seasoned data professional with extensive experience in analytics engineering and data science. Currently serving as a Senior Data Engineer at Shopify since November 2018, Lin specializes in building, deploying, and maintaining data models and pipelines using dbt, BigQuery, and Airflow. Prior roles include Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist at DueDil, where responsibilities encompassed developing data products, and a Scientific Software Developer Intern at Enthought, focusing on Python deployments for geological analysis. Lin's expertise also includes a Data Science Fellowship with the Eric & Wendy Schmidt Data Science for Social Good Fellowship, where a predictive system for police interventions was developed, alongside impactful projects during a Data Science Fellowship at Science to Data Science and other analytical roles, including a data analyst position at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Academically, Lin holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Biology from The University of Manchester.
