Michael Dickard

Michael Dickard, PhD, is currently a Senior Staff User Experience Researcher at Shopify, bringing over a decade of experience in HCI, UX, and social computing from both academia and industry. They have previously held roles including Senior UX Research Manager at Vanguard and UX Researcher at Comcast Business, where they excelled in developing research strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Michael also has experience as an instructor at both Ohio University and Drexel University, contributing to the education of future researchers and practitioners. They obtained a PhD in Information Science from Drexel University and are passionate about mentoring and collaboration to enhance individual and team success.
