Michael Elmgreen

Michael Elmgreen is an accomplished product leader with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as Director of Product at Shopify since May 2019, Michael leads the development of an innovative extensible platform for customizing Shopify checkout, focusing on creating new products for UI customization, business logic, and brand styling. Prior to this role, Michael was the Senior Product Lead for Checkout Extensibility at Handshake, which was acquired by Shopify, where responsibilities included driving go-to-market and product strategy as a co-founder and board member. Michael also held positions at Microsoft, working as an Account Executive and Search Strategist, as well as serving as a Lawyer at Hegarty & Elmgreen and a Grad Consultant at PwC. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Business in Business Administration and Management with a focus on Marketing, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, all from the University of Technology Sydney.
