Pierre Accorsi

Pierre Accorsi is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in machine learning and data platforms. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager for the Machine Learning Platform at Shopify since July 2015, Pierre is responsible for creating a long-term technical vision for machine learning initiatives. Prior to this role, Pierre held positions as a Senior Software Engineer and Data Analyst at Shopify, where expertise in building data platforms and developing complex ETL processes was demonstrated. Previously, Pierre worked as a Visual Analytics Engineer at LIRMM, focusing on the design of visual analytics tools for hydrobiologists, as well as a Data Analyst at Maison de la Télédétection, where spatio-temporal data mining processes were modeled. Pierre holds a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Data, Knowledge and Natural Language and Computer Science, respectively, from the University of Montpellier.
