Taizun Dalal

Taizun Dalal, known as Taz, is an experienced engineering manager with a focus on data transformation and analytics. At Shopify since May 2022, Taz manages a data transformation platform involving nine direct reports across four time zones, facilitating the use of Spark and DBT for data processes. Prior to Shopify, Taz spent nearly nine years at Genesys | Interactive Intelligence, where roles ranged from Senior Engineering Manager to Lead Software Engineer, overseeing multiple teams and complex service deployments across AWS regions. Taz's technical expertise extends to microservices, cloud infrastructure, and data ingestion processes, supported by a Master's degree in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai. Taz began a career in software engineering with foundational experiences at Thomson Reuters and the Rochester Institute of Technology.
