Vinay Shah

Vinay Shah is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in developing scalable and reliable systems. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering for Streaming Infrastructure at Shopify since August 2022, Vinay oversees a team focused on enabling near real-time data processes for critical applications. Prior to Shopify, Vinay held key positions at Netflix, including Director of Observability Engineering and Engineering Manager for Fault Detection Engineering, where responsibilities included building systems for real-time operational insights and automated fault remediation. Vinay's experience at Microsoft as a Senior Software Engineering Manager included work on Azure storage services and Windows update pipelines. Vinay holds an M.S. in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
