Kris Chen has extensive experience in the digital payment industry. Kris started their career at eBay in 2005, where they served as the Head of Cross Border Trade for eBay Taiwan. During their time there, they focused on expanding international trade through eBay's global platform and established strategic alliances with local manufacturers and vendors. In 2009, they joined PayPal and held various leadership roles, including Head of Merchant Services for Hong Kong and Taiwan, and Head of SMB and Partner Development for Asia Pacific. In these positions, they led teams and successfully established market leader positions for domestic and cross-border payments. Kris also developed innovative mobile payment solutions and implemented growth strategies for revenue and market share. In 2015, Kris Chen co-founded Shopmatic Group with the goal of enabling online commerce for small businesses in emerging markets. Lastly, they currently work at Mastercard, where they are responsible for developing and managing partnerships with digital payment players in Asia to strengthen Mastercard's presence and offer digitized payment solutions.

Kris Chen obtained a Master's degree in Communication Management specialized in Technology and Strategy from the University of Southern California from 1997 to 1999. They then pursued further education at the National Chengchi University, where they completed an EMBA degree from 2007 to 2010.
