Alex D. Smith

Alex D. Smith is a seasoned entrepreneur with extensive experience in the solar and eCommerce industries. As Co-Founder of Solar Dive since July 2024, Alex provides timely insights into residential solar trends. At ShopSolar.com, which has been operational since November 2018, Alex serves as Co-Founder and Head of Revenue, contributing to the platform's rapid growth in selling solar and storage solutions directly to consumers. Prior roles include Merchant Success at Shopify, where support was offered to merchants from April 2018 to April 2019, as well as assistant sales management and door-to-door sales positions at Vivint Smart Home and Terminix, respectively. Alex holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Real Estate from the University of Guelph, earned between 2010 and 2014.
