Thomas Kelley has extensive work experience in the field of education and academic support services. Thomas started their career in 1997 as a Teaching Assistant at Trinity College Dublin and later worked as an Editorial Assistant at the Royal Irish Academy. In 2001, they worked as a Research Assistant at A&L Goodbody and Helicon Books.

In 2002, Thomas became an Executive Officer at Trinity College Dublin, where they administered academic programs for international students. Thomas also served as an Adjunct Professor of History at Boston University from 2002 to 2004.

In 2003, Thomas joined IBAT College Dublin as the Director, where they provided direction, leadership, and management for all academic programs. Thomas then worked at EUSA - Academic Internship Experts as the Assistant Director, managing academically directed work internships for US university partners.

From 2008 to 2011, Thomas served as the Director at EUSA - Academic Internship Experts, overseeing the Dublin office and managing academically directed work internships for US university partners and their students.

Thomas joined Arcadia University in 2011 as a Resident Director in Ireland. Thomas created and delivered high-impact learning experiences for students studying abroad in Ireland.

Currently, Thomas is working at Shorelight as the Academic Director for Cleveland State Global. In this role, they implement and manages curriculum and academic support services. Thomas is responsible for maintaining academic program quality standards, supporting student retention and success, and implementing continuous program improvement. Thomas collaborates with university staff and faculty and chairs appropriate committees to ensure the smooth functioning of academic operations.

Thomas Kelley obtained a PhD in Modern History from Trinity College Dublin, which they pursued from 1997 to 2004. Prior to their PhD, they completed a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in History at Trinity College Dublin from 1996 to 1997. Thomas began their undergraduate education at Kenyon College in 1991 and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History. During their time at Kenyon College, they achieved High Honors in History.
