We built shortlist because we were living the problem.

15 grad students @Purdue MBT, all actively job searching, all doing the same thing: saving jobs across a million of tabs, losing track of what we'd applied to, what was stll open, and what we'd completely forgotten about. Spreadsheets. Sticky notes. A folder of bookmarks that never turned into applications.

shortlist fixes that.

It's a job application tracker built specifically for all. The browser extension captures job postings automatically as you browse (LinkedIn, Indeed, company sites, wherever you find them). Everything lands in one dashboard: organized, searchable, and paired with AI that analyzes each posting, drafts a cover letter, and tells you exactly which parts of your experience to lead with.

No more "I'll apply to that later" that never happens.

We're grad students, not a startup performing the language of a startup. We built this for ourselves, we're using it ourselves, and we're opening it up to other Purdue students first because we trust peers over press releases.

If you're managing a job search and you're tired of managing it badly, this is for you.
