Michael Lehenbauer

Michael Lehenbauer is an accomplished software developer with extensive experience in the technology industry. Currently serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at Shortwave since April 2023, Michael has previously held roles at the Act Now Coalition, including Software Developer and Chief Technology Officer. Michael's career includes significant contributions at Google, where involvement in the Firebase Realtime Database and Cloud Firestore SDKs was notable, as well as serving as a key member of the team that developed Cloud Firestore. Prior experiences include a pivotal role at Firebase, becoming the second employee and contributing to API and client/server implementation, as well as leading a team at Microsoft to enhance the Visual Studio Editor. Michael began the journey in software development at ANGEL Learning and also interned at Fog Creek Software. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Math from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
