David Hunter has had a diverse and extensive career in engineering and education. In 2006, they began working as a Digital Design Engineer at Freescale Semiconductor, followed by a Quality/Process Engineer role at Jabil the same year. In 2007, they became a Consultant Electronics Design Engineer at A2E Limited, and in 2012, they took on the role of Teacher of Design and Technology at West Lothian Council and Falkirk. In 2014, they were awarded a one-year fellowship from the Royal Society of Edinburgh and Scottish Enterprise, and in 2013, they founded Shot Scope, where they serve as CEO and is responsible for vision, strategic growth, and overall management of the company. In five years, Shot Scope has grown from a start-up to a scale-up, delivering electronics and software GPS and performance tracking solutions to golfers in 120 countries worldwide.
David Hunter's education history consists of a PGDE Design and Technology from The University of Edinburgh (2012-2013), an MSc in Electronics Engineering from The University of Edinburgh (2005-2008), a BEng in Computing and Electronics Engineering from Heriot-Watt University (2001-2005), and an HND Mechatronics Engineering from West Lothian College (2000-2001).
