Kim Ostrander Patterson has extensive experience in healthcare and community service, currently serving as a Special Events Coordinator at Botanica since January 2010 and as a Community Volunteer with the ICT Street Team, where assessments of homeless populations are conducted. With a background as a Registered Nurse (BSN) at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and past roles at Via Christi Health as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, Kim has actively contributed to emergency nursing and trauma counseling. Additional volunteer commitments include community service with organizations such as Music Theatre Wichita and the ROBERT J. DOLE VA MEDICAL CENTER. Kim is also the Head Writer for "I Am a Snowflake: My Journey with Myasthenia Gravis," highlighting the rarity of the disease.
