ShowMe-TellMe exists to support independent risk judgement.

SMTM is a professional framework used by senior practitioners to assess privacy and data-driven business risk in context, and to surface how that risk aligns with an organisation’s stated risk appetite.

The framework deliberately separates assessment from action. It does not prescribe remediation, force outcomes, or embed commercial incentives into judgement. Conclusions remain with the professional applying the framework, and there is no expectation that findings result in further work.

SMTM is designed for environments where credibility, independence, and restraint matter more than scale or speed. It is used quietly, without sales pressure, by people whose professional standing depends on saying the right thing, not the convenient thing.
