Terri Kopp

Terri Kopp is an accomplished Co-Executive Producer and Writer currently working on "THE CHI" at Showtime Networks Inc. since June 2018. Previously, Kopp served as the Creator, Executive Producer, and Showrunner for "In Contempt" at BET Networks, drawing from personal experiences as a criminal defense attorney in Manhattan. Kopp's writing credentials also include a role as TV Writer/Consulting Producer for Rebel and as a Writer/Producer for "Law & Order." A background in law is evident through positions as a Public Defender at The Legal Aid Society and a Litigation Associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel. Kopp's legal career began with a legal internship under civil rights attorney Bill Kunstler and work with the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund. Educational achievements include a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from New York University School of Law.
