Gerald Chao

Gerald Chao has been in the technology industry for over 25 years, starting their career as a Software Engineer at IBM in 1992. Gerald then moved on to WebSciences as a Principal Software Engineer in 1995. In 2003, they founded Infocious and served as the Founder & CEO. In 2006, they founded Lingospot, Inc. and served as the Founder & CTO. Gerald's role at Lingospot included developing the Video Analysis Engine, Content Discovery Service, and data pipelines for ML models. In 2016, they joined Piksel Inc. as the VP Engineering, where they were responsible for the SaaS-based infrastructure. Currently, they are the CTO at SHRED since 2020.

Gerald Chao obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. Gerald then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the same university.
