Shugarman Architecture + Design (SA+D) is a Calgary + Canmore based architecture, interior design + urban design firm.

For 32 years, we have been designing bespoke projects throughout the luxury single family, hospitality, multi-family, institutional, and commercial sectors.

Founded in 1994, Michael Shugarman started the firm with his ambition for making the world a better place. He held the belief that despite divisions, people share much more than what divides them, and he wanted to connect people; to each other, to the natural world around them, and to who we each are as individuals.

Today, we continue to advance this ambition with an unwavering commitment to creating meaningful environments through our attention to the beauty of materials, meticulously crafted details, and the play of light on form to connect us to each other and the world around us.
