Karen Thayer

Karen Thayer is an experienced Android Engineer currently working at Shutterfly since January 2021, focusing on the Snapfish and Shutterfly mobile apps. Previously, Karen held the role of Software Engineering Manager, overseeing a team of nine engineers in managing the Snapfish mobile app for both iOS and Android. With a career beginning in 2001, Karen has held various positions including Android Mobile App Lead and Manager, Android Developer, iOS Developer, and Java Software Engineer at Snapfish, and has experience as a Software Developer at Hewlett-Packard. Karen's earlier roles also include starting a web design business and managing hardware testing for IA32 workstations. Karen holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from The University of New Mexico.
