David Garvan

David Garvan is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and team management. Currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Shutterstock since November 2018, David oversees teams focused on enhancing search and data curation systems through innovations in machine learning and AI. Prior to Shutterstock, David held the position of Director of Software Engineering at Coinaphoto, managing multidisciplinary teams across various platforms. David's career includes roles such as Engineering Team Lead at Travelport, CTO & Co-Founder at SeeSearch, Senior Java Software Engineer at Aegon Ireland, and Team Lead at 123.ie, among others. David holds a BAI in Engineering and a BA in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin, as well as a Higher Diploma in Computer Science from University College Dublin.
