Chi Him Lo

Chi Him Lo is a Lead Applications Chemist at SI Group since November 2022, bringing extensive experience in the coatings industry. Previously, Chi Him Lo worked as a Researcher at AkzoNobel from October 2014 to March 2022, focusing on sustainable metal protection technologies within the Expertise Center Corrosion. Chi Him Lo's research included a Marie Curie European Industrial Doctorate project that enhanced corrosion protection from waterborne coatings, conducted in collaboration with AkzoNobel and the University of Manchester. Earlier roles involved developing waterborne metal coatings for beverage packaging and ensuring compliance with FDA and EFSA regulations. Chi Him Lo's career began with an industrial placement at The Lubrizol Corporation, where polymeric pigment dispersants were developed. Educational qualifications include a Master of Chemistry from The University of Manchester, a PhD in Material Science, an MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology, and completion of the Graduate Development Program at AkzoNobel.
