David Sonnenberg

David Sonnenberg is an experienced professional currently serving as the Senior Director of Digitalization Enabling at SICK since August 2018. In this role, David leads a team focused on enhancing agility and entrepreneurship for internal startups and frameworks, aiming to develop new digital solutions and digitize internal services for improved customer centricity. Additionally, David acts as a speaker in the Project Leadership Expert Circle at SICK, promoting best practices among project managers and agile coaches. Prior to joining SICK, David worked as a Project Manager and System Engineer at Dräger and as an R&D Engineer at OMICRON electronics. David also has a robust academic background, holding a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Hamburg, where involvement included roles as a postdoctoral researcher and Ph.D. student.
