Dr. Thomas Held has extensive experience in the field of sensor intelligence and machine vision, currently holding various roles at SICK Sensor Intelligence since February 2003. Key responsibilities include coordinating Functional Safety solutions across multiple industries, leading product engineering and support for SICK Safety Laser Scanners, managing global product development for profiling and dimensioning systems in logistics automation, and overseeing optics development and vision sensors R&D. Prior experience includes working as an R&D engineer at Agilent Technologies and a diploma student at Colorado State University. Dr. Held earned a Doctorate in Physics from Ulm University.
