Harald Schmidt

Harald Schmidt has extensive experience in functional safety and industrial safety solutions, currently serving as a Senior Safety Consultant at SICK since February 1997, with expertise as a TÜV certified expert in functional safety (EN ISO 13849). In addition to this role, Harald Schmidt has been a lecturer at Hochschule Aschaffenburg since October 2011, focusing on machinery safety. Previously, Harald Schmidt managed the Regional Competence Center Europe at SICK AG from March 2016 to May 2022 and held various positions including Project Leader at ABB Industrietechnik AG and Sales Manager at OPTO22 Automation Products GmbH. Educational qualifications include a Diploma in Industrial Engineering from Universität Karlsruhe (TH) and a certification as a Machinery Safety Expert from TÜV Nord.
