Matheus Bernat is currently an Industrial PhD student at SICK and Linköping University, funded by WASP, focusing on enhancing AI model performance in industrial applications using Vision Language Models. They have previously worked as an application developer in machine vision at SICK, providing expert support and developing features for industrial camera technology. Matheus holds a Master of Science in AI and Machine Learning from EPFL and another in Computer Science and Engineering from Linköping University, where they also contributed as a course and computer lab assistant. In their free time, Matheus enjoys playing tennis, football, and guitar, as well as working with youth in their local church.
