Volker Schmid

Volker Schmid has extensive experience in quality management across various industries, currently serving as the Head of Quality Management Sensing Efficiency at SICK since July 2015. Previously, Schmid held the position of Head of Global Operational Quality Management for the Mobile Security Division at Giesecke & Devrient, where responsibilities included being the global process owner for Technical Risk Management and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Schmid's experience also encompasses roles in quality management and engineering at Infineon Technologies, including qualification planning and claim management for microcontrollers, and initial roles at MTU Aero Engines and Procter & Gamble. Schmid holds a Master's degree in Process Engineering and completed a pre-degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
