Östmark

Sofia Östmark is the Assistant Director General and Head of the Global Department at Sida. They previously led the Migration Department at the Swedish Ministry of Justice and served as Secretary General of Union to Union, the international development organization for Swedish trade unions. Sofia has held various roles, including Ambassador at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and acting head of the Office for Strategic Development and Future Issues at the Prime Minister's Office. With extensive experience in international cooperation and development, they also worked with notable organizations like GAVI and the International Task Force on Global Public Goods. Sofia holds a master's degree in political science from the University of Gothenburg.
