David Chasteen

David Chasteen is an experienced information security leader and organizational executive. Currently serving as a vCISO and Chief Operating Officer at SideChannel since December 2019, David also holds the position of Novice at the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans. Previous roles include CISO at Cotopaxi and Chief Information Security Officer at GoFundMe and the City & County of San Francisco Police Department. David has a notable background in cybersecurity operations and incident response, having managed the first Incident Response team for the City and County of San Francisco. David's leadership extends to the veterans' community through the role of President of the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Commission. An alumnus of Ball State University, David holds a BS in Political Science.
