Mike Waters

Michael Waters is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in consulting and leadership roles. Currently serving as Principal Consultant at SideChannel since December 2020, Michael advises organizations on CISO-related security strategies. Previously, as Director for Cyber Americas and EMEA at Control Risks from September 2017 to August 2020, Michael provided strategic consulting to Global Fortune 50 clients, focusing on IT and cyber security. From June 2006 to September 2017, Michael acted as Global Director of Information Security at Booz Allen Hamilton, where responsibilities included establishing a premier cyber security organization. Michael's career also includes significant positions at OAO Technology Solutions as Sr. Director of IT, Acterna as Sr. IT Manager, and Manugistics as IT Architect. Academic credentials include an MS in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
