Adriaan van Aarde

Adriaan van Aarde has extensive work experience in project management and engineering. Adriaan currently works at Sidel as the Project Management Excellence Director since March 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Lead Project Manager from July 2017 to March 2022 and as the Project Portfolio Manager from November 2013 to June 2017. Before joining Sidel, Adriaan worked at Nampak as the Projects Manager in the Tissue Division from August 2008 to October 2013. Adriaan also worked at Heinz Foods SA as the Plant Engineering Manager from August 2005 to July 2008 and at HG Molenaar as a Project Engineer in Beverage Processing from January 2000 to July 2005.

Adriaan van Aarde attended Stellenbosch Business School from 2020 to 2022 where they completed their MBA degree in Business. In 2009, they obtained a Certificate in Project Management from Stellenbosch University. In 2007, they earned another Certificate in Business Administration and Management, General, also from Stellenbosch University. Adriaan holds a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, which they obtained between 1994 and 1998. Adriaan also has a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) from The Project Management Institute (PMI), which they obtained in 2015. Prior to their tertiary education, Adriaan attended Paarl Boys' High School.
