Joab Kose

Joab Kose has a wealth of work experience, starting in 2014 with internships at Cellnet and SEACOM LTD. At SEACOM LTD, they gained experience in configuration and operation of CISCO network devices, operation and maintenance of cooling systems, equipment cabling and powering, and handling of Optix OSN, 7500, 8800 and 9500 Huawei SDH equipment. Joab also worked with Ciena and Tyco DWDM(SLTE), and had a deeper understanding of the of fiber optic transmission principles. In 2016, they worked at Swahilipot Hub as a Network Engineer and Technical Director. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Fulbright Scholar at the Fulbright Association, and also worked as a Course Developer at FIU Online. In 2019, they were the SparkDev Cybersecurity team lead at Upsilon Pi Epsilon at FIU. Most recently, they have been an Information Security Engineer at Sidepocket since 2022, and a Blockchain Forensic Investigator at Bilic since 2022.

Joab Kose has a diverse educational background. Joab obtained a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Maseno University in 2016. Joab then went on to pursue a Master's degree in English for Graduate Students from Michigan State University in 2018. In the same year, they also earned a Master's degree in Cybersecurity from Florida International University - College of Engineering & Computing.
