Chris Waters, PhD, is the Networks Technical Authority at Siemens Mobility, where they focus on delivering safe and secure IP networks for digital-ready signalling and traffic management systems. With over ten years of experience in the railway signalling industry, Chris has previously held roles as a Development Engineer at Invensys Rail and as Secretary General of European Young Engineers from 2017 to 2019, where they led initiatives to enhance visibility and collaboration among young engineers. Chris earned a BEng (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, followed by an MSc in Telecommunications Technology from Aston University, and completed their PhD in Communications at the University of Bristol in 2020.
