Darko Anicic

Darko Anicic is a Senior Key Expert at Siemens AG, where they conduct research in Internet of Things, Semantic Technologies, Complex Event Processing, and Stream Reasoning. With over 15 years of experience in creating semantically interoperable systems, Darko implements IoT devices and integrates automation systems into the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). They received a PhD in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in 2011 and have been involved in standardization activities with several organizations, holding more than 5 patents in semantic-driven configuration of IoT devices. Prior to their current role, Darko worked as a Research Scientist at Siemens and held positions at STI Innsbruck and British Telecom.
