Mark Jay

Mark Jay is an intellectual property lawyer and the owner of Mark H. Jay, P.A., a solo private practice. They concluded hundreds of patent- and trademark-centric transactions and have over 45 years of experience with patent prosecution, primarily in electronics, physics, and mechanics. They have substantial experience in trademark clearances, trademark prosecution (including inter partes matters), and trademark licensing. From 1984 to 2009, they were Senior Counsel at Siemens Corporation, where they were in charge of structuring and negotiating research agreements and related licenses between Siemens United States business units and major United States research institutions; they also had responsibility for Siemens' trademark matters in the United States. They earned a JD from The University of Connecticut School of Law (1973–1976) and a BS in Physics from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art (1969–1976).
