Paul Bates

Paul Bates, MBA, CMgr, currently serves as the Head of Business Development - Customer Services at Siemens, focusing on product design and maintenance strategy for new rolling stock. They have extensive experience as a Maintenance and Project Manager, leading significant transformation efforts and managing critical projects across various teams in the UK, Germany, and Austria. Previously, Paul was the Head of Production at Kings Heath Rail Care Facility, overseeing the delivery of Class 350 and 319 units while managing a large team. Additionally, Paul contributes to academia by lecturing at the University of Derby and facilitating projects in the UK and Spain. They are a member of the Chartered Management Institute and are seeking new career challenges in the rail and motor industries.
