Robert Thompson

Robert Thompson has extensive experience in production and technical roles, beginning with a position as a Rotary wing aircraft mechanic in the US Army from August 1988 to July 1994. Following military service, Robert worked as a Production Technician at UBB-Umformtechnik GmbH from September 1994 to August 2007. Subsequently, Robert joined Siemens AG where, from September 2012 to November 2015, the role of Technical Consultant for Industrial Security was held, further advancing to Senior Technical Consultant for Industrial Security until September 2012. Responsibilities included conducting customer-specific workshops, training for Industrial Security, and consultation on implementation. Additional roles at Siemens included Cybersecurity Protection and Consulting Services and Product & Solution Security Officer. Robert's educational background includes advanced training in ICS/SCADA Security Essentials from The SANS Institute, a specialization in PLC systems, and an MCITP certification for Windows Server 2008 from Microsoft.
