Sam Thompson

Sam Thompson is a Portfolio Lead and Project Manager at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, where they specialise in leading complex control engineering projects aimed at shaping the UK’s energy future. With an MBA and a foundational background in electrical engineering, they oversee critical systems that enable the National Grid to efficiently manage power flows. Sam has previously held roles as a Project Engineer and Control Engineer at Siemens and has experience as an Electrical & Mechanical Engineer at British Engines. They are also a dedicated member of the Shadow Board/Challenger Committee and have pursued extensive education, including a Master of Business Administration from the University of Bradford.
