Sam Williams is an inclusive leader and enthusiastic IP strategist currently serving as the Head of Intellectual Property at Siemens and the Head of Intellectual Property Foundational Technologies. They have extensive experience in intellectual property, having previously worked as a Senior Counsel at bp and a Director at Murgitroyd & Company, where they developed specialized IP services for SMEs. Sam's early career included roles as a Technical Assistant at Phillips & Leigh and Reddie & Grose, as well as serving as a European Patent Attorney at 3M United Kingdom PLC. They hold a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge and an LL.M in Intellectual Property Law and Management from Université Robert Schuman. Sam is also an Open Foresight Board Member, reviewing annual trends in IP.
