Christopher Ortiona

Christopher Ortiona serves as the Director of Programs for Sierra Space Defense as of March 2024, following a tenure as the USSF & USSPACECOM Component Planning and Implementation Lead - Technical Advisor at the United States Department of Defense. In this role, Christopher led the Office of Primary Responsibility for implementing a United States Space Force & Space Command operational-level Service component, managing a significant budget and a large, multi-agency team. Previous positions include Chief of Staff for U.S. Space Command's Combined Joint Task Force - Space Operations and various roles within the U.S. Army, accumulating extensive experience in space operations and defense. Christopher holds advanced degrees in National Security and Resource Strategy from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School and Aerospace Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, complemented by a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
