Daniel Polis

Daniel Polis is the Vice President of Engineering at Sierra Space, leading Engineering Solutions which encompasses the Advanced Manufacturing, Materials and Process Engineering group, focusing on innovations in various areas such as additive manufacturing and thermal protection systems. Prior to this role, Daniel served as Sr. Director of Engineering, where responsibilities included establishing a new Materials and Process Center of Excellence. Daniel's previous experience includes significant roles at Sierra Nevada Corporation, where the management of the Dream Chaser® Cargo System team and spacecraft design was a key focus. Daniel began a career at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center as a Materials Engineer and has a foundational background in materials science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from William & Mary.
