John Olson

John Olson is an experienced engineering professional specializing in design and CAD processes. Currently serving as Engineering Manager - Design at Sierra Space since June 2021, John leads initiatives in CAD administration and design checking, and collaborates with the Digital Transformation team to implement the Siemens Xcelerator tool suite. Prior to this, John held managerial and design roles at Sierra Nevada Corporation and held various positions at Bell and Howell, including Manager of Documentation and Control and Supervisor of Mechanical Design/CAD. John began a career in mechanical design as a Draftsman at GE Power & Water and holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Electro-Mechanical Drafting from the State University of New York at Delhi.
