Malcolm Young

Malcolm Young is a seasoned engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the aerospace and technology sectors. Currently serving as Sr. Principal Systems Engineer at Sierra Space since April 2024, Malcolm leads multiple programs as chief engineer and architect. Previously, at Lockheed Martin from February 2020 to April 2024, Malcolm held various leadership roles, including Systems Architect Manager and Systems Engineer Manager, where responsibilities included advancing space missions and mentoring engineering teams. Malcolm also contributed as Chief Systems Engineer at Tyvak Nanosatellite Systems from April 2018 to February 2020 and has diverse experience in founding and managing a brewery, consulting for startups, and driving product development in multiple engineering roles. Academic credentials include a Master's in Business Administration and a Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder.
