Michael Bergmann currently serves as a Technical Fellow at Sierra Space, focusing on semiconductor technologies for solar cell and panel development since May 2022. Bergmann also acts as an Advisor and Investor at TCPoly, Inc., contributing to the development of engineered thermally conductive polymers. Previously, from March 2020 to June 2022, Bergmann held the position of Advisory Scientist at EmitBio Inc., working on light therapy technologies. Bergmann spent over two decades at Cree, where roles included Senior Director of R&D Optoelectronics, Director R&D LED Chips and Components, Manager of R&D Epi Department, and Research Scientist, all contributing to advancements in LED technology. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Physics from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Saint John's University.
