Michael Hazel

Michael Hazel is a Senior Legal Counsel at Sierra Space, holding this position since February 2023. Prior to this role, Michael served as Counsel at WilmerHale from January 2010 to February 2023, focusing on complex government investigations and litigation, particularly in the environmental, energy, and natural resources sectors. Michael's experience also includes a tenure as a Legal Advisor at the Legal Assistance Centre in Namibia, where legal advice was provided on human rights and various legal issues, including international law and sustainable development. Earlier positions include Law Clerk at Meyer Glitzenstein & Crystal, assisting with environmental law cases, and Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Dorothy W. Nelson at the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Michael holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy from Duke University.
