Michael Joyce

Michael Joyce is a Mechanical Engineer II at Sierra Space, with a strong background in aerospace engineering and technology development. Previously, Michael contributed to the Buckeye Space Launch Initiative as a Hot Section Team Member, where responsibilities included constructing and testing liquid engines, modifying engine schematics, and collaborating with various subsections to enable test firings. As a Graduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, focus was placed on nuclear thermal propulsion technology and associated research. Prior experience also encompasses roles in software testing at Medtronic and Timex Group, alongside technical support positions at Connecticut College. Michael holds a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Connecticut College.
