Krste Asanovic is an accomplished computer scientist with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as Chief Architect and Chairman at RISC-V International and SVP Global Engineering and Chief Architect at SiFive, Asanovic has been instrumental in advancing RISC-V architecture since August 2015. In addition, Asanovic holds the position of Professor Emeritus and Professor of the Graduate School at the University of California, Berkeley, contributing to the field since July 2007. Previously, Asanovic was an Associate Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from July 1998 to June 2007 and worked as a Research Engineer at the GEC Hirst Research Centre from July 1987 to July 1989. Asanovic earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA in Electrical and Information Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
