Yann Loisel

Yann Loisel is a seasoned Security Architect currently with SiFive since May 2019, focusing on defining secure systems-on-chip (SoCs) using RISC-V cores. Previous experience includes serving on the Board of Directors for Secured Communicating Solutions and a significant tenure at Maxim Integrated, where various roles encompassed managing security architecture across embedded systems, automotive, industrial, and IoT security, alongside PCI-related domains. At Innovacard, Yann held the position of Chief Security Officer, specializing in security design for payment terminals and compliance with standards like FIPS 140-2. Early career contributions include being a security expert at SCM Microsystems, focusing on cryptography and embedded security, as well as managing a cryptography team at the Ministère de la Défense. Yann holds a DEA in cryptology from the University of Limoges.
