Thomas Yang is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Since 2005, Thomas has served as Managing Director & Associate General Counsel at Bank of America, leading a global team of attorneys for the Equity Capital Markets desks. In addition to this role, Thomas is currently a Board Member at Pro Bono Net, contributing to initiatives that provide legal support to underserved communities, and a member of the Planning Committee for the upcoming 53rd Annual Securities Regulation Institute. As Chair of the Primary Markets Committee at SIFMA since 2018 and a former Chair of the FINRA Corporate Financing Committee from 2022 to 2024, Thomas plays a significant role in shaping industry standards. Previous experience includes key legal positions at Credit Suisse, Sidley Austin, Proskauer Rose LLP, Parker Chapin Flattau & Klimpl, and Day Pitney LLP. Thomas holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University.
