Ian Later

Ian Later is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and technology sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Sift since June 2025, Ian previously held multiple engineering roles at SpaceX from May 2017 to July 2025, advancing from Flight Software Configuration Engineer to Senior Software Engineer. Ian’s earlier experience includes a software engineering position at Victorious and an internship, as well as a research internship at Indiana University School of Medicine, focusing on ischemic stroke. Ian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Neuroscience from the University of Southern California, completed in 2016.
