Rob Delport

RSA Head Researcher at Sports Interactive

Rob Delport has a diverse work experience in the media and entertainment industry. Rob started their career in 1992 as a professional actor and later ventured into stage and screen writing. In 1996, Delport became a football scout and researcher, using their passion for South African football to assist video game companies. Rob also worked with various production companies as a director, producer, and writer until 2013. From 2010 to 2019, they served as the RSA Managing Editor for FIFA at Electronic Arts. Delport has also worked as a sports journalist for SABC and iDiski Times, and as a football editor and editorial manager for Mobi-D. Rob has a strong background in sports journalism and research, with expertise in South African soccer.

Rob Delport attended Sunridge Primary from 1981 to 1987. Following this, they attended Alexander Road High School from 1988 to 1992. In 1993 to 1994, they enrolled at the Waterfront Theatre School, where they studied drama. Rob then pursued a Graphic & Digital Design Diploma at Hirt and Carter from 1999 to 2000.
